QUESTION:
What IS THE LIVING NOTES STYLE OF photography?ANSWER:
At living notes photography I focus documenting your life as it is, with very minimal input from me during your session. I want to create something that is unique to you and your family, and is deeply meaningful. Your photographs are living notes you are writing for your future generations, so my mission is that it is authentic to YOU.
QUESTION:
Where and when should we get our photos taken?ANSWER:
Ultimately, your photo session is about your family’s story. The ins and outs of your day, what you all enjoy doing together as a family, and what this particular season looks like for you. I always recommend sessions take place at home. But, if that’s not your thing, an outdoor location that holds a special place in your heart is always a good choice. The best times of day for sessions are usually early morning or late afternoon.
QUESTION:
How long after the session will we get our photos?ANSWER:
You will receive a link to your slideshow 3 weeks after your session. Once you view your slideshow, you will be able to download the digital images that correspond to the collection you purchased. However, I do LOVE giving families a little sneak preview of their session on Instagram 2-3 days after.
QUESTION:
What If we have to cancel or reschedule the session?ANSWER:
Hey! Life happens! Someone gets sick, we forget we double booked appointments and the weather will unexpectedly change. No worries! Please give me 48 hours notice and I will work with you to reschedule your session. All sessions may be rescheduled within 90 days of the original date.

Wait! You want to photograph in my home? No way!ANSWER:
Say no more! For many mamas, the thought of having their family photos at home makes them cringe. As a mama and homemaker myself, I totally understand the anxiety that can cause. But for a in-home family session I don’t recommend deep cleaning. Instead, declutter and tidy the areas of the home you use more frequently and/or where you'll be photographed. This will greatly diminish the amount stress as you prep. We can also photograph your family in your backyard, front porch, stoop, or take a stroll around your neighborhood.

What will we wear?ANSWER:
The beauty of a more relaxed, unposed approach to family photoshoots is you don't have to go crazy about what you wear. You can wear simply what feels comfortable and represents YOU. Personally, I love me some loose, ripped jeans and a tee. However, for clients, who do desire a little guidance when it comes to their wardrobe I'm here to help! I have a prep guide and create inspiration to give my mamas some ideas on what to wear.

Will my photos be retouched?ANSWER:
I want the photographs we create together to represent you exactly as you are. So while I’ll remove the random pimple or candy wrapper there’s no airbrushing happening here. You can get a feel for what I mean on my site, by checking out my portfolio.

Can we get prints and products with you?ANSWER:
Absolutely!! If it was my own family session, I would want the ability to select my favorite photos and order prints or make an album right from my online gallery. So that’s what I offer! No need to upload your images anywhere else. However, if you’d like a more affordable option, I do make recommendations.
